WFMZ's parent company, Maranatha Broadcasting, will finalize the purchase of KJWP soon. WFMZ sold back their frequency (46) and will go off-air, but their primary channel and The AccuWeather Channel will air on another station in the Lehigh Valley. Since WLVT is also going off air and channel sharing, it appears that the big 3 of the Lehigh Valley (WBPH, WLVT, and WFMZ) will all share RF 9. Although neither are definitive, WLVT mentions a new VHF channel in their public release. No matter the outcome, WFMZ highlights the move of H&I and Retro TV from 69.3 to 69.4 to channel 2, expanding their reach into the market, and bringing the 69 News brand to a broader audience, as select news and local programs air on 69.4.
