Guide Times

I have a problem with my recordings and I was wondering if others were experiencing the same problem. All of my recordings are ending several minutes short. I know this is an issue between the Guide and the time on the receiver, but it seems to be worse recently. I also know that you can extend the time of the recordings, but this doesn’t work well with your wish list. This is really driving my wife crazy as she wants to move some of her movies to DVD and they are getting cut off.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Is there anything I can do to fix this issue, besides manully extending the recording time? Can I adjust the time on the receiver?

Depending on what channels, it can be a big problem. Some channels are not too "punctual " on their start times,so consequently they end a few minutes later than their guide time says. IFC ,for instance,is notorious for this. Some stuff on TBS start and stop times are really wacked out. I have started to add time to ALL MOVIES I pick to record. 15 minutes is probably more than you need,but is safe.
