I'm in Lincoln, NE. I currently live in a second floor apartment with my dish on the balcony mounted to a non-penetrating desk mount as required by my complex. The ground floor apartment directly below me is available, and I'd like to move down. I used the DishPointer app to take this screenshot while on my knees on the patio. Does it look like I would be good? DirecTV won't come out and do a site survey without setting up an install, and I don't want to waste an installer's time. Opinions? The dish would have to remain in the non-penetrating mount on the patio, hence the screenshot from a kneeling position. I think I'd be okay, but wanted a more knowledgeable person to give me the thumbs up.

Thanks!!!

clear skies! You'd be ok to switch to directv without any issues, as you know unless approved you'll be forced to use a flat cable to get in to the apartment though

As an installer I agree...those flat cables suck!
An alternative = acquire a 2 x 4 and cut it to a window width. Drill through the 2 x 4 with a 1/2"drill for the cable runs. THEN think duct tape and mortar and spray foam insulation to seal & lock the window for heat conservation.
No issue with the sat LOS,good pics!
