I did read the thread over at the other site, there is no reason spelled out why the changes. I even called Directv and they no nothing about this. Why does nobody know whats going on...

Not meaning to change the subject, but how do you get "grandfathered"

I've been with DirecTV since 1995, but was with a local CO-OP first, then Pegasus, then DirecTV. In the beginning I had the East/West Coast Feeds, when they put up the Houston Locals I lost the East/West feeds sometime later. When I first got HD, I got waivers signed and had the East Coast feeds in HD, until DirecTV added the Houston locals in HD, then they too were taken away.

Was I supposed to have been "grandfathered" ? I would rather have kept the East/West Coast feeds in HD than the Houston locals.....

I started out like that with a local telcom in 96 with USSB & DIRECTV, then Pegasus but never opted for my locals and kept my SD Distants the whole time, lost the HD Distants... did you opt for your locals? if so thats when you lost the Distants...
