got stuck on system info screen

when I turned on the TV this morning my 722 was stuck on the system info screen. could not cancel... only the help button was available on screen which took me to a help screen where all options just went back to system info.

guide, menu, cancel.. nothing worked on the remote. had to reset the receiver to get back to normal operation. after reset, all is well.

anyone seen this? just a bug or foreshadowing something ?

Happened to me this morning as well. Seems fine now.

Like any other PC based machine, these boxes will tend to freeze up from time to time. Especially considering the fact they use a physical hard drive. Any time I do an install, I instruct the customers on how to reset the box in case it freezes up... It's nothing to worry about, unless it's doing it repeatedly, which means the hard drive is critically damaged.

check your remote if you cant navigate around the screen, then press sat, then record and then hit done/cancel
now most common solution for this is
open smart card door and push it all the way in
if you look at the system info screen, smart card field will read S0000000000-00
if all fails unplug then plug back in
