Is it nomal that I have to add almost all the ku satellite? Like amc 4 ku
I see amc 4 but i think thats for c-band.

I have a 10ft dish with a c/ku band

AMC 4 came already loaded on my Fortec. I am watching it right now.

My Fortecs just list it as AMC 4. I scan it like that for ku. A few like G10r and G10c are listed seperate.

My fortec came loaded with only one AMC 4.
So if i want to use AMC 4 for c band i will need to add another one for ku?

Yes you can add a new satellite or rename a satellite that you will not use.

This is as much of a question as it is an answer, but wouldn't you have to have two separate satellite entries since C and KU operate at different frequencies. If I remember right, the antenna setup screen has an entry for the type lnb you're using. I think the frequencies the fortec scans depends on the value for that entry.

I'm still learning about this stuff so take my advice with a grain of salt.

very true

I know the Pansat has separate, because it only has one LNB LO listing. If the Fortec has two settings, make one 5150 and the other 10750 :)

Rename AMC4 to AMC-4 KU and add a satellite named AMC-4 C.
Since I've never done this, it got me curious. I went throught the Fortec "Menu" and saw it couldn't be done there. But opening up
an old channel list with gTools, it looks pretty simple to do. I'd save
my old satellite/channel list first just in case...

To add a new satellite........

Menu
Installation
Edit TP/Satellite
go to NEW (its at the bottom of the satellite list)
Enter new name then OK
Select OK
Enter Freq./Pol./SR
OK

Should be on page 26 of the manual. (4.7.1)

:D Okay. I see it now, at the bottom of the list. I never looked that far down for it in the list. Couldn't be more simple than that. Thanks for the tip!

Rename AMC4 to AMC-4 KU and add a satellite named AMC-4 C.

This is what I`m going to do thanks PSB

What version, boot version and date is loaded into your Fortec? I don't think that I have seen a version with AMC-4 KU missing, unless it is a custom firmware release.

I have the factory "North America Lifetime TP List Sept 2004.gtd" from the Fortec website and it just lists AMC 4.

IA 5/Ku, IA 5/C and G 10R/Ku, G 10R/C are the only ones that I see specified.

This is for the original Lifetime.
