I have been talking to a number of people at Dish and Echostar and am told to expect another software release soon (as soon as Tomorrow) that will fix most of the issues that have been reported.

I am excited to see it, cant wait!

Just got home and got APR1 on my receiver.

Haven't had a chance to check it out yet though.

This release gets the receiver working perfectly even before it gets into the home of any regular customers. I'm just surprised to see the APR1 software out 6 months early.

This is not the last beta release, I hear that we could see another release in the next week or so as well.

I can tell you one thing in my few minutes of playing with it... its a lot snappier speed wise.

I've only had to reboot once since I got the new software.

I just had to reboot now as the receiver wouldn't come out of standby with the remote or front panel.

Seems like it takes longer to reboot now as the satellite picture is still not back yet.

Still some issues, but getting better.

Have you heard anything about EHD support?

I filled up my internal drive and I recorded around 230 hours of HD shows and it showed it as 101% full, trying see if I can get to 110%.
