Getting DVR

Hey guys I am new here. The installer will be coming Saturday to hook up my DVR. I don't have a landline, I use VOIP for phone. I will have to take the box to my neighbors to let it make the activation call. Will the installer just leave me the box and let me hook it up? He will have to run a new line because I only have a single LNB dish right now.

The activation will work over the VOIP service, just plug it and it'll work.

Depends on what service you have. Lingo will not work period. Some people get Vonage to work, others don't. Packet8 is also hit and miss. I use the null modem cable hooked up to my PC and that works great.
