BYU on g28 is that a free channel or a subscription channel?

It is FTA, but I don't know if it shows the same programing as the C-Band BYU TV.

Last I checked BYU-TV was FTA on 89W Ku-band and 97W C-band

Problem is the Frequency and symbol rate changed.

Good news is "The List" is on top of it.
Bad news is that it doesn't carry BYU Radio and all languages are mono.

I don't know what luck you'll have but BYU on 89W Ku is threshold level for me.
Good thing is 97W C-band is a barn-burner w/ BYU-Radio

EDIT: And yes they both show the same stuff at the same time!

i got it strong on 89,just wondering beacuse i was getting a strong signal but no pitcher.i was interested on what its all about that is all .

as of 7:00 Central time (right now) its showing programs. Just had a commercial for the tabernacle choir

i was watching a couple day ago i was getting signal but no programming.
i was fooling around with the dish and found 89.i just though it had just news and nothing else. i had that channel but nothing was comming up on the station. i fugered i was only getting the abc news now i think it was.

Check what the transponder settings your box is using.

They changed from 11780 H 29000 to 11787 H 15914

They switched right about the time I put up the 1.2m for RTN and I went through a mess trying to get BYU to come in on an offset LNB.
That's when I found out.

The transponder carries BTV-1 BTV-2 BTV-3 which are all color bars when they are in the clear, along with one labeled "North America"
