I recently purchase a CK-1 lnb by GeoSatPro from Sadoun with bracket for 1.2m GeoSatPro dish. Also a DG380 HH motor to drive this dish. It took a while to finally get the dish, but have it installed and lined up the the arc, by using a standard linear lnb. After getting it dialed in I installed the CK-1 lnb, and it was lined up pretty well, due to it's weight. Got ku and C band sats setup, and everything working well. I am using a SV Elite and using tuner 2 for the motorized dish. All new rg6-u cable ran in conduit under ground. Have diseqc mounted for switching from ku to c band on the lnb. Wednesday I hit the sat button on my remote to change to tuner 2 for the motorized dish and picked a satellite and when I hit ok, my stb shutdown instantly, like I turned the switch off in the back. After checking things over, I removed the CK-1 and put the standard lnb on, that I did the intial setup with and everything seems to be ok. I reinstalled the CK-1 and have nothing on ku or c band. Signal strength from 35 to 55 depending on settings but no quality signal. Tried differant sats and tried moving around to find quality signal, but no luck. Put standard lnb back on and everything is still good.
Question is, did this CL-1 lnb die on me? Is there a way I could check this lnb to verify it is working or not. I don't know if there is any kind of warranty or returnabilty on yet. Any help will be appreciated and thanks in advance. Sadoun, if you read this, I would appreciate your input too. Double thanks to anyone who helps. I was having some good luck with c band on a 1.2m dish too.

I use two CK-1's on proper c-band dishes with no problems whatsoever, so you may have a bad one. I'd check and make sure all the connections are good, make sure the switches you use are good, I know you said that your old LNB works fine, but double and triple check anyway. Also try the other input on the Sonicview.

I use a diescq switch to switch between C/Ku on both of my dishes, like I said, with no problems at all.

I hope you get the problem sorted, I know its a bear to know you have a problem and not know where it is....

When testing the C or KU bands, are you connecting directly to the individual outputs or passing through a switch? Try bypassing any inline switches to rule out switch failure.

It would be highly unlikely that both C and K band outputs would simultaineously fail as they use independent electronics.
