generic program summary on HTL-HD?

I've had my HTL-HD for almost a year. It's a great receiver. However, today, as I was watching a program, I hit the guide button and then the screen froze on the guide button. I couldn't do anything. After about 20 seconds the screen went blank and then screen came up and said Creating channel list. That's was fine. However, now all of the program summaries are "generic." That is, the summaries no longer give the year of the movie/sitcom etc. They don't provide the actor/actresses names anymore. It just provides a one sentence description whereas it used to provide much more detailed information. Is this some new software? I don't like it. Did anyone else notice this?

I have two HTL-HD receivers and have seen no change at all in the program guide. Have you tried hitting the reset button? If that doesn't bring it back try unplugging it for 30 seconds.

i didn't hit the reset button, but i unplugged it for about a minute. it booted back up and now all is well. thanks for the suggestion.
