Im noticing breakup and pixalation on White springs tonight. If I check the data tranponders on the bird there strong. Anyone else having issues?

Very little pixelation, and very minor audio breakup - but this is by far the lowest S/Q numbers I've ever seen, on any channel on any bird. I wasn't previously aware I could get a picture with numbers this low. And thus, by default, the lowest strength White Springs has ever been for me.
If you're interested: 80cm fortec dish with a QPH031, Tigard, Oregon. (Just a few miles north of Canby).

Had 20% Q on the Coolsat today and yesterday, 72% Q for the previous week
Seem to not be getting anything right now from that transponder. (Meters reading below 7%

The Starband tp's are alive but not locking (usually I can lock either the H or V but never both, just weather dependent)
Was Locking the H for the last few days

Thanks for the reply's. It's way below where it should be even this morning but strong enough to be solid 30-38. I usually get 70 to 90 Q on my offset LNBF. I wonder if it has something to do with this big ice and snow storm expected here tonight? At first I though I may have moved my offset LNBF a tad when brushing the snow out of that dish. I'll have to take a quick look today make sure everything is tight.

Now WSTV is totally gone on my end, data transponders are there. Were in the middle of a snow/sleet storm right now, funny thing RTN is working in all its glory quality just like it was summer outside.

I checked my adjustments yesterday and I don't see anything wrong so I don't know whats up.If its on my end WSTV may have to wait till spring to get fixed. This winter dont seem to want to give us any breaks this year. Working on a homemade offset LNBF bracket and dragging a TV out there is no fun in subzero and snowdrifts :(

I can't get a sniff of it here either. Was watching it regularly up to last weekend, then it started getting weak and nothing since the last 3 or 4 days.

That's good to know then I wont have to try and drag a tv outside and mess with my dish in subzero temps and blowing snow :( I appreciate the report :)

Got something this morning

Had a stable 63% when I started typing this. Only getting 60% now, and since that's about threshold for uninterrupted A/V, I'm probably going to lose WSTV today.

It's coming in but I don't think it's gonna last for me, with the wet-snow cloud coming in. I love weather RADAR and satellite imagery.

The first round of this storm here was Dry-East snow, but now I'm facing the usual (dreaded) wet cloud from the West.

Darn IE lost my post the first time round.

Just read your post and figured I'd try WS, getting it now 45-48 quality. The Pansat can get down to about 13 before breaking up bad. The dish is covered in ice & snow and was going to head out there in a bit to clean up all 4 dishes, I think the storm is over by me. RTN on G-18 still coming in like summertime 60Q :) weird.

I'm getting it here too, first time in days:up Probably a stretch but I sent an email about their signal to the White Springs network operations engineer about 2 hrs ago.....nah, probably just coincidental. Anyway, I'm glad to have it back, now if it just stays:cool:

Cleaned the dish out now Im getting a whopping 59-60 Q I usually get 75 to 90 but I'll take this for now. Had ice on the feedhorn cover of both lnbf's too, that was a little weird. I had to pry the snow out of my big dish it was like a block of ice mixed with the snow. Where's Spring? Im done!

I lost audio Sunday night, and it was gone completely Wendsday. Just tried it and was please to see Dickens "Oliver Twist" in B&W just when young Oliver asked the man "Sir, may I have more please" A classic! Glad it's back.

Signal is low, Q~30 on a Fortec MII, modified SuperDish, TechSat Tracker II( the RED one), EMP Centari 8x1, was getting ~55-60.

We have a blizzard moving in, will look at the signal again when it quits snowing

It's there, To lock the bird try one of the data transponders like 11789, H, 30000. When you get that peaked then plug in WSTV pids and see what happens.

as the mosquitos are getting ready to carry me away tonight

None of those around here! 19 inches of snow in Puget Sound area! Most since January 1950 as far as I have been able to find out. Certainly the most I remeber since then.

Could our weather here be affecting White Springs for anyone else? Kinda doubt it as G19 and AMC4 arer still OK here.
