Sadly until DirecTV gets another satellite in orbit and operational they won't be adding much more HD, the bandwidth is pretty much taken up. Things like Sunday Ticket take PPV channels down, so there isn't much left for 24/7 broadcast new channels.

Yep last I heard is that they were waiting for a slot to open up for Directv 14 and Directv 15 isnt much further behind it. At this rate they might as well buy both payload slots and launch both at the same time. I guess the payload is shared between two satellites and costs are shared by both payload holders. With Russians not launching and ILS being super over booked, it might be a while.
