I am a directv subscriber. I live in downtown Chicago and the 119 is blocked for me by another building. I have come to live with this problem. However I am wondering how the new satellites will affect me.

1. Is all the SD stuff going to stay on 101? I mean they are not thinking of moving it to 119? I love my sportspack and MLB EI and SUnday ticket. If it went to 119 I would lose it.

2. Is all HD stuff going to the new satellites? If so great! They are close to the 101 which I get. Will ESPNHD move to the new ones?

3. Will my locals stay on 101 (Chicago)?

I am mainly concerened that I will keep what I have.

I don't think they plan on moving anything they have now, except for HD maybe in 2007. But right now the only thing they are adding is local HD on new satellites at another oribital, so you'll need another dish for them.

There are no local HDs on right now. The network HD signals come from:

ABC E&W are on DTV6 at 109.8 (aka 110)
CBS W & FOX W are on DTV7s at 119
CBS E&W, NBC E&W, FOX E are all on DTV1r/2/4s at 101

CBS W is double located.

Is this a licensing issue at 110 or the other services on 110 are not willing to sell the bandwidth?

Well, considering that the other DBS license holder at 110 is Echostar I don't think that will be happening anytime soon ;)
