Hello,

Like most tech-heads I like to have a little dabble in different technologies at least once in my life... In this particular situation I've taken an interest to satellite dishes... Why? I'm not sure... But I watched some movie the other night and realise I hadn't...

What I'd like to know is...

...what fun is there to be had with a satellite dish?

..is there really and satellites up there worth pointing at?

...what kind of hardware would you recommend?? some old SatTV ones look cheap!!

..is anyone 'WarDriving' the skies and finding anything interesting? :)

Answers/Information/Resources/Software/Links.. all much appreciated!!!

Cheers,
Geeek

Still A LOT of fun to be had with a Free to Air satellite system! We have our own FTA area here at satellite guys come over and read some more about the hobby, hours or tinkering await you, or once set up you can simply enjoy all the varied programming from around the globe, and all over this country....... for example this week I am watching live coverage of the Michael Jackson case.......live collage hockey..... the list goes on here is a link to the FTA/Mpeg-2 area.......
