Here is your FTA tip of the day. Now most of you will look at it and go "DUH! Already knew that" but its just some simple things I thought of by reading posts. I'll have one of these daily for a little while to help out newbies (and not so newbies)

FTA Tip of the day

Make sure to power off receiver with switch in back when adding/removing switches/LNB's so you don't do damage

I was thinking of it last night after reading a few threads that there are some things the we always seem to be repetitive as a precaution.

Like I say, some will be really simple but some may be one where someone goes "better write that down" :)

Thanks Ice,

IMHO Tips of the day should be a sticky, closed thread (only you /another admin should be adding to it) and keep on adding to the same thread everyday. It will help us reading the tips at later dates. No discussions to be allowed on the same thread. Others can start a new thread for discussions on the tips of the day.

I'll probably end up doing that but I just wanted to throw it out there to see what kind of responce it got :)
