FTA Question/EBAY

Just looking on ebay at some FTA boxes, for the good deals, preferribly CS8000, but my question, if you buy a box off ebay that was once used for hacking, (which I am not looking for), but if the person used it for that, how can I revert it back to an FTA box to receive FTA signals? Seen a lot of stuff on ebay but I don't want someone else's hacked out used crap.

More importantly, if it was once hacked, and twice cloned, that's even worse. Make sure the box isn't a clone. I believe there is factory software available for most of the boxes. Don't buy from people who sell clones. If it was hacked i'm sure you could put on the factory software without a problem. Iceberg has the CS 8000 and knows most about it. He'll be around sooner if not later.

I don't know about Coolsat but I have a Pansat and when you go to their website you can find all the original firmwares. You just have to download it inside the receiver (and select the default settings.) I guess it should look exactly like a "new one".

As Techno noted, be wary of clone receivers, since the factory software sometimes won't work on them

The CS8000 there actually is a program that allows you to wipe out all software. Which is good because you cannot go backwards much on CS8000 software.

I tried that once before the "clean" file came ouot. I tried to go back one factory software and it wouldnt let me.

But most boxes (non clone) you can override the hack software with factory. DOne that many times
