hi there im new to all of this. i moved from chicago to knoxville tn because of a job. is it possible to recieve chicago locals like fox nbc abc cbs through fta satellite. if so what will i need to do this.thank you so much.

I grew up with WGN OTA. Was wondering, why would WGN encrypt? Do they get paid by the multichannel subscription services?
Because the big cable co's and programming providers that sell their signal don't want any non-payers watching for free! People who didn't grow up with c-band prob never knew about the forces at work when satellite tv got popular, the tv preacher who said he would never scramble the word of God (he did) in order to stay on satellite, etc etc. It's all about money.
