FS: JVC SR-W5U HDTV W-VHS VCR on Ebay

A bit pricey!! I just happen today to see a Mitsubishi D-VHS at my local Stereo One dealer here where I live..This place only deals with high end audio/video and is overall very expensive but I lile to go and and drool!! :D

The Mitsubishi one was listed there for 399, and I may even consider buying that one but was wondering if you could tell me if you HAVE to have that firewire connection on your HDTV to record an playback a HDTV program or tape?

You do have to have firewire connected to record or playback HDTV recordings with the Mitsubishi D-VHS. JVC makes D-VHS VCRs with MPEG decoders that can playback HDTV through component video outputs but can only record HDTV through firewire input.
