On Monday September 26th Sling TV will be offering a special 18 hour free preview of it's Sling Orange service so that people can watch the presidential debate or the Monday Night Football game on ESPN.

No credit card will be required.

The free preview will be held September 26th from 8AM ET until 2 AM ET on Tuesday September 27th.

For more information or to sign up for the free preview you can go to http://www.sling.com/watchfree

So, will SlingTV servers be slammed with so many presumably taking advantage of this 18 hour free offer? If things get overloaed and slowed down, it will be a very bad demonstration of SlingTV as people will conclude that it is always low performing streams every day. I shall tune in to see for myself.

I'm sure you can bet they are counting on the influx of users

I watched a bit of the football game on ESPN and was surprised by the quality. I thought it would look terrible on the 75" TV. While it was worse than satellite still better than I expected. Probably ok for a normal size TV

From what I understand, reading posts on Facebook, the new users only had the problem with making sure their internet speed was fast enough. I think the test was successful and I streamed CNN and had no buffering, no degradation of picture, everything looked good. ESPN looked good, too when I checked it out.
