The Terminator will be back --as a TV series. Fox has committed to a pilot project based on the successful movie franchise. Titled The Sarah Connor Chronicles, the action drama will focus on mom-turned-warrior Connor and her future-hero son John. The series is from T3 producer C2 Pictures, along with Warner Bros. TV. Screenwriter Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds) will pen the project.
In other development news, ABC has ordered two comedies: one from Joey co-creator Shana Goldberg-Meehan and another from Will & Grace writer Kirk Rudell. The Goldberg sitcom is about two sisters --one who was raised rich, the other poor. Rudell's ensemble comedy is about a group of longtime friends in their 30s. Both projects are produced by Warner Bros. TV.
