Fortec vs Pansat

I'm interested in purchasing a FTA receiver and wanted ppls. opinions on both the Pansat 2500A and the Fortec Lifetime Ultra.

I've only seen the Pansat in action and wasn't really impressed with it. It had a clunky GUI and wasn't all that fast, but it was very simple to install.

I read that the Fortec has a EMG (Electronic Menu Guide), which is lacking on the Pansat, but does this guide work well and how similar is it to a DTV or DishNet guide?

Lastly, which one of these would work the best, if any, with Tivo? I'm assuming that Tivo won't be able to bring up a proper guide for the FTA receiver, so it may not be as useful.

Also if anyone has any information on the Megasat YT6688, that would be a help too.

I have now installed quite a few of both of the above and I am with you I much prefer the Fortec Lifetime Ultra 2005, but the EMG does not work for 99% of the legal FTA channels in this country?

Pansat now have a receiver with built in hard drive........
