Fortec Star DVB 786 NA question

I just picked up this receiver and would like to know the pro's and con's, want to use it for C/Ku. I'm planning on using an old 5ft mesh dish that hasn't been used for a few years. My old STS burned out a few years ago. Is this Fortec up to the task?
