For Those In The Market for a 42" or Smaller 720p HDTV

I just got back from my SuperWally, they have 720p sets marked way down. I saw a Hitachi 42" Plasma marked down over $300, and a Visio marked down from $1497 to $897... Both LCD's and Plasmas were marked down...

Yeah, HD's are definitely breaking the "$1,000" barrier that most consumers consider to be acceptable pricing for a TV set. On the flip side, these price breaks and the competitiveness of the industry is causing many chains (BB, CC) to report lower earnings lately. Ever since Wal-mart had their Black Friday special, prices have been heading down to Tierra del Fuego.
