Hi,

I have dish 500(twin lnb) & dish 300 (single lnb) joined by SW21 switch. I have problem in signal of 61.5 coming from dish 300. Signal stables for 2,3 seconds for more than 75 signal strength and then drops to 0, it goes back and forth. This fluctuation of signal is such a big pain... Dish 300 install on wall and there is no play in mounting. Any idea whats wrong with it ???

It could be ...

1) water in one of the RG6 connections
2) leaves blowing in the wind interfering with line of site.
3) Bad LNB
4) proper grounding
5) BAD SW21

fluctuating Signal

Thanks for the help !!

I think it must be bad lnb or switch....

Thanks again !!!!

Try connecting your Dish 300 @ 61.5 directly to the satellite receiver. Now go to the installation menu and select the 61.5 satellite. Pick an active transponder. If you signal is stable you may have a bad SW21 switch. If not you may have a bad LNB. Double check the connectors for water and corrission.

Go to Radio Shack and buy a single LNB. If for some reason that it is not bad return for a refund.
