Flea market today

Haven't been in 10yrs so I decided to drive up to the big flea market this morning, expecting to find some fta stuff, mainly curious to see if anybody had any knowledge of it here. Nothing, lol, walked a mile around that place. Did find one guy selling Directv , an installer, had some parts and dishes, and a couple of tripod-mount dishes set up, but no working system there to show off. Got a couple of 3402 switches, zinwell 3x4 that is, he had taken in from installs. 5bucks a piece, they look nearly new. Also had the brand new in the box Sams 3x4 multi , for 10bucks. May go back next week and see if he has anything else. Filled him in on fta , surprised he didn't seem to know about it. Said he wondered why people were always wanting to buy DN lnbs from him, when he didn't have any to sell, but they never wanted receivers.

The HAM radio flea markets are much better for finding any type of electronic gear. Sometimes free items on tables and much better conversation.

Second hand stores are also a great resource. Its not unusual to find analog receivers and other nice gear at those places, although I've never found a FTA-sized satellite dish.

One of these days, I'm going to try to make it up to Dayton, OH for the Hamfest. I'm sure Sadoun has a booth there, and there are probably plenty of independent sellers with cool goodies as well

Dayton Hamfest is not too far from us at all. We will be there in 2008 and looking forward to seeing you.
