Fishing for Deer

That is awesome! Back in the 70's or very early 80's my brother and I had a similar experience with a whitetail fawn and a row boat. The fawn was crossing the Platte River all by itself (no doe around). We circled it and I grabbed it from the water and hefted it into the boat. It wasn't as cooperative as the deer in your story, heh heh. Dang near kicked a hole in the bottom of the boat! And it bellowed like the devil's own child! We rowed over to shore and let it out there. It scrambled up the bank like lightning and then stopped to look back at us for a moment. I swear, if that dear had a hand with five fingers, I know which finger it was showing us!
