HOWARD Stern wanted ABC to make him a full-fledged member of its news division when he inked a deal to host a primetime interview special.
But the network brass told him "there would be a revolution inside ABC News" and everyone would quit if the network did that, Stern said yesterday.

Being a member of ABC News would have put Howard on even footing with Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer, the network's two best-known interviewers.
