Need some pointers , if any about using rotors with a 322 receiver? figuring out the rotor is my biggest question.It is urgent if anyone has any info.

wow, never had that question... if it was one of my customers wanting this I would just recommend one of the mobile tracking satellites... they are a little more pricey, but probably do a better job

something like the tracvision or something of the like....
 
As suggested, they should go with one of the tracking systems, and I would recommend one that is for a moving vehicle instead of one for a stopped vehicle.

Even if the houseboat is only watching TV while anchored or moored, most still have some sort of movement or rocking do to wind, waves, wakes from other boats, or people jumping on and off.

For that reason, a TV antenna rotor will not solve their problem, because it will only adjust the azimuth and not the elevation as the vessel lists for one reason or another. If you were to try it, I suspect you would need a TV rotor that would allow you to tune/adjust it in less than 1 degree increments to peak the antenna from inside; they may not make such a sensitive rotor, I don't know.

A satellite dish HH Motor works entirely different; by moving the dish from SE horizon to SW horizon once you set it up for your due south position. So it would be easier to go outside and just swing the dish or mast.:D

EDIT: Since the houseboat will probably stay in the same general area... I think I would attach the dish on a mast that went from the main deck to above the top deck and/or roof; there would be a deck mount and upper (facia) mount that would allow it to turn, but not sway. Then I would put a middle mount that could clamp it down, or release it for peaking the azimuth. With the mast next to a door or window so that you could see the TV, then you could loosen the clamp, twist to peak, then tighten the clamp.
