Hello, I am thinking about switching from Comcast Digital Cable to Verizon FiOS when we move in May. I have been pretty satisfied with Comcast with the exception of their price rising every 6 months.

Has anyone used both Comcast and FiOS? What are the major differences.

The clincher for me will probably be the OnDemand offerings. I'm looking for some specific things.

Comcast offers Sprout OnDemand for free....its a kids channel that shows Seasame Street, Clifford the Red Dog, etc.
Comcast also offers some CBS and NBC shows for free (Survivor, Jericho, etc).

I'm looking to find out if FiOS offers the same things?

I can not find a compehensive list of FiOS ondemnad offerings anywhere.

Thanks,

they have a ton of ondemand stuff for free. i can't check right now to see if the have sprout, but they do have some kids channels. someone at home right now might be able to look and see if it has sprout.

i am not aware of verizon offering cbs or nbc show on demand.

vios vs dish

I am currently with Dish & have an HD package. Can someone that has both tell me how they compare. Thanks in advance

i just checked for the kids on demand. they have
discovery kids
disney
nick
pbs kis sprout
kids unlimited

i have not had dish in a few years so really can't comment. i do know that the picture quality for fios is the best around.
