I am attempting to swing my wing dish around from 148 to 61.5.

I am using my old 301 receiver and a portable TV on the roof connected directly to the Dish 500 with a DPtwin lnb. I am using the 110 input (right lnb looking from behind the dish) on the twin.

The Dish Point screen says for a D300 on 61.5 I use Azimuth 114 and elevation 32, so I calculate that my D 500 needs to point 4.5 degrees right of that azimuth (119.5) in order for the 110 lnb to be looking at 114. So I set the lnb arm to point at about 120 degrees (my compass is not very large).

The J pole seems to lean slightly to the east, but for a single lnb setup I should be able to adjust for that.

Now, which TP should I set my 301 to look at on 61.5? I know the 301 cannot see 8psk TP's, so will TP10 which has the "You have a dish at 61.5°" message on it be a good one to try?

I called a local installer and they want $50 to come by and do this, so being cheap, I 'd like to do it myself.

Also, My 129 off my D1000 is OK, but not perfect and I don't want to shell out $50 to merely avoid a little aggravation with 129.
