after having to wait a little bit longer than I expected, TODAY is the day finally place the order to switch over to D**** from the competitor. Hopefully, the install can be done ASAP so we can get the service up and running. Hopefully it can be done in the next hour or so to get a better install day.

You going through DirecTV directly or a retailer?
I noticed that going through a retailer/installer I was able to secure the exact equipment I wanted, get a feel of the kind of person the installer was, and get a super fast install date.
At work they had DirecTV installed and the guy setting it up just called DirecTV. The installer gave him a 4-hour window that was 2 weeks away. I noticed this morning that they installed an older HD box (H20/21). not a big deal since it is for business use. But I felt it would have gone better if we used the same retailer.
