Hummm Wonder if the launch will be braudcasted on chanl 101.? I think dish needs to do a special launch coverage in hd on the hd demo channel. Now that would be very cool!

Yes, as previously reported, the launch will be carried on channel 101. I don't think there will be a HD broadcast since this would be difficult from the Sea Launch ship.

No new dish will be needed as it is replacing satellites allready in orbit at the 110 slot ... I dont think that it will be used all for LIL service allthoug alot of it most likely will be for LIL HD as the spot beam compacity from 110 will greatly improve

This one satellite has the LIL capacity exceeding the combined LIL space on 110/119/105/121 right now. So, it is expected that they will use the new satellite to replace E8 at 110 (E8 goes CONUS or spare) and move a lot of markets to spot beams from the superdishes and CONUS 110. Then have a lot of capacity left over to do LIL HD on spot beams.

So basically the channels that E10 will help bring to us will not be anything in addition to what was already announced?

It might be. what they might do is move all the spots to e-10.. and the current spots on the other birds at that slot may get reconfigured for conus. ( I dont know the exact details so you might be right ) To me this seems like the resonable way of doing things.. they might be able to open up some space that way for more hd on 110
