Will a to do still record if the channel is not part of your current favorites list?

I would imagine, but that is a good question, I have never tried it, but I don't see why not, the favorites is just for your convenience, channels don't have to be in it to be viewed, that just sets up what you see in your guide.
As long as the chanel you want to be recorded in part of your channel package you should be good to go.
