OK experts - here's on for you.
I live in the WPB area (Florida).
Have a 1 meter dish with an Invacom (which is very sweet btw).
What is the farthest sat on KU that I could hope to get??
Any ideas? Suggestions?
Thanks as always.
PAt

With a good LOS for WPB (26.7N 80.05W)

you could easily get Telstar 12 at 15 degrees
13.7 elevation
109 azimuth
-60 skew

Hispasat 1C/1D at 30 looks real easily to get
27 elevation
118 azimuth

crap, my G10 is close to 27 elevation (and I'm at 93.5W):D

Anything below 10º in elevation is adventurous :)

Everything below 15 is C-Band...15 is the lowest KU you can see :)
He should be able to hit stuff below 15.

When I was in Philly I got all the way over to Atlantic Bird 2 with the 1.8.

T12 does have some stuff worth watching on it though.

T12 Ku and G4R C-band

VERY nice truck. I want one for Christmas...

Do you have an editing suite (VTR's, monitors, switcher) inside? What model satellite receivers are you using?

VTRs (SP/SX only) Marshall and Iky HD monitors. No switcher on board. 4 TT1260s and 2 TT1280s

Sounds like a great setup. I've got a BVW-65 SP machine (no SX yet), still looking out for a 75 for cheap since everyone's going digital. I love Ikegami monitors, have several standard definition models here including three with SDI. Never used a Tandberg receiver, but I like what I read about them.

Well, I've got a few months to convince Santa to spring for the truck :D

You guys are blessed!

Down in FL you can reach all the way to the 4 degree bird if you have a view clear to the horizon!

I'm in WA, and I'm doing good to get down to the 58 degree bird! Unfortunately there's nothing much past 148 deg. W. L. in Ku aimed near the US...

I think I can see satellites all the way from the east HW limit (72 deg) on the motor ~56 deg W. L. up to 148 deg. W. L. The HW limit to the west is at ~180 deg. W. L. to 170 deg E. L. but trees and 4-plex get in the way past 15-160 deg W. L.

(but having fun anyway!)
