If I upgrade to a Hopper from a 722, is there a way to transfer all of the programming from my External Drive that is associated with it?

Yes, you can transfer recordings from the 722 onto a EHD and then transfer them onto a Hopper. The EHD but be powered and needs to connect through USB.

Just be warned that transferring back to the Hopper isn't always successful. Just recently here transferring some recordings from one Hopper to the other rendered about half of the recordings useless. From now on I'll just play back from the EHD.

I've found high success in just playing back the shows from the external HDD rather than transferring them onto the Hopper internal HDD.

Much less time too. Transfer from the 722... Plug in the drive on the hopper... have nice day.
