EXPLANATION OF TECHNICAL TERMS

Hello guys,
Finally got my dish set up and everything is working fine, and now is the time to ask more questions in order to acquire more experiences.As far as Galaxy 19 at 97°, I have no idea what the 97° stand for because I have setup my dish and aiming at Galaxy 19 but the number 97° never came up any where. These are the number I have used to setup my dish
130.5 deg. Dish Elevation: 29.6 deg. LNBF Rotation: -20.9 deg.
Compass Reading: Up / Down Clockwise / Counter-clockwise
Left / Right
I will appreciate If any one can give me some explanation about the number 97°

And BTW, it's a good idea to use that location, ie, 97W when referring to satellites across the Clark Belt because the NAMES change from time to time but the locations don't change that often.

FYI, if you use "The List" up the page to verify what satellite you're on it will make things much easier.

As you can see from the illustration, the satellite is hovering above the equator at approximately 97 degrees West longitude (several hundred miles west of the Galapagos Islands). When you receive a signal it's amazing to think the dish is pointing all the way down there (just up in the sky).

I am so happy that you can watch ORTM! Congratulations!
