It's not like Penn St. hasn't sucked before in the past, this punishment won't hurt the State College economy that bad.
Anyway, I once heard that the University's purpose was to educate, not entertain.

hmm... Georgia just kicked their quarterback out of the school (got arrested on gun charges, so he'll be Auburn next quarterback), so they have a scholarship opening that would accomidate Christian Hackenberg. So hopefully Richt can stop being a nice guy and pay this guy a call.

LOL -- sure football has an economic impact, but in any big 10 or other school of that size community, especially where the school pretty much IS the driving force, higher education itself is the economic engine, and that won't stop. Nor will kids (other than football players, who are a miniscule proportion of the total) NOT go to Penn State.

They knew the hammer was coming down all they cared about was whether they could transfer. Now lets watch the mass exodus.

Will that family please please go away.

They have no official affiliation with the school, and as such have no standing. Plus the school administration agreed to the sanctions.

So again, would the Paterno's please go away. All they are doing is making it look like they're defending hiding a pedofile.
