I copied this with permission here so that it will hit a bigger audience.

(This is for beta/DEV test and is available on the Amiko DEVROM App. DEVROM App is available in A3 F-droid Appstore.)

The Europe/Spark2 stock software/ROM finally has most our our NA ROM features and is ok to run on NA A3’s starting with v 2.0.67. Unfortunately a big downside remains: Europe ROMs are loaded with crap that we don’t need, want or can use here. This makes them boot and run slower and less stable than our Amiko ROMs.

The solution is fairly simple: Eurotrash Utility. As the name implies, it takes all the Europe stuff and trashes it. This leaves a leaner, cleaner and faster STB for the Americas market. Eurotrash installs/runs just like a NA ROM except it is a tiny file so it loads and cleans your STB super fast.

Here are the instructions from the DEVROM App:
  • For use on 2.0.67 & up EUROPE ROMs only!
  • Eurotrash removes bloatware and unneeded EU stuff so your A3 loads/runs faster, has a cleaner UI and is more stable.
  • To use, download Eurotrash by clicking the icon to the right. Next, install Europe software/ROM from the update app. After it has installed go back to the update app and press GREEN key for local update. Navigate to STB Memory > Download and select the eurotrash_0.1.zip
  • Eurotrash will install just like a ROM but much faster.
  • Eurotrash will remain in your Download folder so you can use on each Europe ROM without re-downloading.
Since this is for DEV/BETA testing right now there is no pretty guide with pictures. One will be released and Eurotrash will be available from the Amiko Software Downloader App once testing is completed. If you are not good at reading and/or following instructions you may wish to stick with NA ROM40S for now.
