Zodiac Gaming and its Zodiac Branded Gaming unit will develop and distribute ESPN-branded sports games for digital set-tops under terms of a deal announced Monday.
The video-game vendor said it will design and develop a wide range of sports-themed games playable via the TV, integrating ESPN personalities, programming and other properties and covering sports including football, baseball, basketball, boxing and auto racing.
“We are looking forward to expanding the ESPN brand by offering video games via the set-top box and allowing affiliates to diversify the products and services they offer sports fans,” ESPN senior vice president of interactive sales Matt Murphy said in a prepared statement.
