I don't think it's THAT bold. The NL Central will be a crap shoot. The Cardinals lost pitching, the Reds have not had alot of pitching in decades, Astros are weaker and the Cubs...well..are the Cubs..LOL I would be NOT surprised that the Pirates and the Brewers fighting it out at the top for the 1st half of the season.

Just wait till the Pirates 3, 4 and 5 hitters start hitting.

The Pirates are close with practilly no hitting, Adam LaRoche will start hitting, he always has a slow April.

The Pirates young pitching is their strenth right now, when they start hitting, The Pirates will battle with the Brewers.

Kruk is way off base. The Pirates offense is woeful. I think the weekend series in Milwaukee proves this point.
