ESPN Gameplan without Phone line

I just called directv and ordered the espn gameplan. None of my receivers are connected to a phone line. Will it work?

Yes, your access card is authorized via satellite. If it is not working call the automated support line and report a 721 error, this will send the signal to your box again.

No stink'n phone line

I don't even have a land line in my house, and I get NFL package, no problem.
I really don't know why DircTV says to hook up a phone line, maybe its their way of accessing my viewing habits via a 2 way comm link? I do know when I've called for technical issues, they have no problem sending down resets to my receiver so I'm guessing the phone line is simply for them to get information sent back up to them.

I order all my pay per view online, its better than waiting on hold and getting charged. I moved my tv a few years ago and forgot to hook the phone line back up. It still let me order with the remote and I didnt relize what was going on untill I got a messege on the bottom of the screen stating my access card was full.....That was over $100!
