Error on both tuners message

My buddy is trying to activate 2 HR24, last night he was getting this error and 99 and 103 had X on both odd and even. I told him his signal was too low and he sent me his numbers. He was getting low 90 on 101 83 on 99 and 85 on 103.. So this morning he tweaked his dish and now his numbers are

95 on 101
92 & 94 on 103 cb
87 & 89 on 103 ca
85 & 88 on 99 cb..

Is this going to be high enough to pass the install test?

We would need to see all of the signal strength numbers on those satellites.

see attached.. compared with mine.. some are higher some are lower than mine but very comparable and I've had no issues getting my receivers activated.. should be noted weather is not the best today .. these values are better that'll what he had this morning before tweaking the dish

The dish needs to be better aligned. You will get a picture, but it will go out much more quickly in the rain and you will get error messages, as you already know.

BTW, any chance you could post a screen shot of the 103s signal strengths?

the problem he is having right now is that when the retailer sent in the activation last night he got this screen on both receivers.. his signal is better today than last night but so is the weather.

Nope.. no b band.. it should be noted that he previously had 2 hr24 working fine and dandy on this exact dish and lnb 2 months ago.

He can't access 103 s for some reason

He plugged his old receuver in and 103s only gets tp 17 and 18 at 68 and 67.. 99s gets tp 1 at 76 and tp 3 at 82 tp 14 at 88 tp 17 at 60 tp 18 at 72

It sounds like a diagnostics on the new boxes from the menu was not performed

these receivers are reconditioned and came directly from dtv

It still needs to be done since all of the software in the boxes were overwritten when they were re-commissioned

Redoing the diagnostics won't realign the dish.

Yes it is in the menu options. To me if the dish does not need alignment then I would perform it. Then send me some screenshots after you do the check

now one of the receivers won't get past the blue welcome screen .. tried red button reset.. unplugged.. updated software with 02468
