Error 771

First off just want to say thanks for all everyone does. I am new here and dont plan on going anywhere. My issue started about 1-2 months ago I have had DTV for about a year. It started with only getting error 771 on about 2 channels 206 espn and aetvhd. Problem went away for a little while but has came back and it is affecting more channels now. Any help would be great!

I can get all SD channels and some HD from time to time.

You have zero signal on all the odd transponders on 99c. All your other signals look OK, so my guess is that you have a faulty LNB at the dish. Get a DirecTV service call, free if you have the protection plan, $50 otherwise. They will replace anything needed for the price of the service call.

Almost definitely the lnb, but it could be faulty cables/connectors couldn't it?

I'm confusing this setup with a standard install with four cables to a multiswitch. Couldn't a bad cable cause just odd or even to go out in that situation?

yes. When dealing with a 4 cable multiswitch (say a SWM16 or as we have here a bunch of SWM8's) the setup is as such
99/101 on the 0k side
103/110/119 on the 22k side.

When we had one cable blow out at the apartment it screwed up the V side of 103 and 119 only (110 has no vertical)
