Anyone know what error code 45-707 means?

Hmmm, never heard of it. What is your receiver/dvr's problem, if you know? What model number are you talking about?

I was actually asking for someone else. But I found a document here:

and I think they can read it and see what direction to go for troubleshooting.

Good information in that link. Thanks for posting it. It sounds like your friends box wasn't getting guide data from a blocked signal or something like that.
