Equity moved some channels around on G10

Looks like Equity moved some channels around
and I think for the positive

11720 TP
-gone....WUJF (LatTv...formerly Retro Jams)
-replaced with KPBI My TV(formerly on 12114...the unscrambled channel)

-gone....KUOK Univision Oklahoma
-replaced with KFDF RTN (formerly on 12114..the scrambled channel)

12114 has LatTV East & LatTV West on it now...both scrambled...looks like they tweaked the symbol rate to 4340

LatTV is still on 11799 too

gained 1 English channel
lost 2 Spanish channels

may have to do a channel delete and rescan but the new names popped in

I just deleted and rescanned G10 - Equity mux looks shaper, stronger signals and better color. I also found some "goodies" that were not there before

It may just be me but it seems 11720 is much stronger now than the last time I tuned it in. It's showing 90% quality on my CS5K with 85cm patriot dish and Invacom QPH-031.

Worth a Blind scan if it's been a while.

11720 quality (BER) has been much improved as of late. I'm not sure whether it has anything to do with Equity or the offensive Dish bird at 121w. Will rescan, thanks for the heads up

had to fix which channel was originally scrambled (KFDF) and which one wasn't (KPBI)

I smartscanned the satellite and came up with 5 xtv channels, each dealing with extreme sports-- skateboarding, bike races, bike competitions, etc. Frequency 12182(H) SR:29.269Fasinating...
When I get more time I am going to rescan the entire arc and see what I had been missing.

the picture quality is great on those channels.

It rates up there with the Russian news channel as far as picture quality is concerned.

Please be cautious about mentioning any channel not listed on Lyngsat or FTAList, if some uplinkers see that people are receiving their programming for free, they might scramble...

very good point. We have always had that rule of if its not on Lyngsat dont post it in the main area

The main reason I posted this in the main area is because the channels are there already...they just got shifted around

The channels I was concerned about were the five that Mr. FTA Man mentioned... Since I haven't rescanned, I'm not sure if they're still there.

After deleting the channels on G10R and re-scanning, I am not too sure if we didn't lose some english RTN channels or lost stations in different time zones. It seemed like Hawaii-5-O was on every channel. Also the 5 channels mentioned did not scan in.

I am afraid most of these RTN channels will soon scramble. I certainly hope not.

very possible that they had it on at multiple stations. they do that with wrestling on Saturday ngihts...4 stations have it at 6 CDT

I tried to do an advanced scan entering in the freq & symbol rate and didn't find them either. Maybe we need to do manual a pid entry, but don't have the numbers. Oh well.

Was KFDF changed to RTN? I thought it was previously a MY channel. I had KPBI 2 years ago and I thought it lost to scrambling. I welcome it back. The picture quality and color is definitely better on the Equity feeds.

Before the UPN/WB merge, KPBI was Fox & KFDF was UPN.

When that shakedown happened there were 2 NBC stations in the market (one was a satellite). It broke off and became Fox. KFDF was to be the My network in the market but with KPBI losing Fox, KPBI took the My affilaite and KFDF went to RTN

KPBI (which was the unscrambled channel when it was on 12114) is My and KFDF (the scrambled one when it was on 12114) is RTN.
