I watched the signal go down and it got down to zero on 11720. I checked the radar for little rock and there getting moderate to heavy showers. The signal is back now but lower than normal. I guess the uplink transmitter didn't eat it's wheaties today:D

One of the advantages of C-band, it is not affected as severely by rain or other poor weather conditions :)

I've really gotta hunt down a C-band dish...

Usually that's the case but we had such a heavy rain friday & sunday night that I even lost the Nets on G16 with a 10 footer.

I am having problems today with G10. 20 % is all.

Good to hear Im not the only one seeing problems on G-10 today. My 11720 keep's going up and down and drops out to nothing. I know my alignment isn't a problem since I peaked every last drop out of that dish and was getting 76Q on 11720 the other day. Were suppose to have rain today here in Illinois that could be the issue. I checked my other ku dish, a 90 cm Primestar on G-16 (X4) and that signal is right about where it should be. Im only using a 82cm eliptical on G-10, so I know the gain isn't as good as my 90 is. My C band on the G3 equity's is a bit down but not much. I checked Little Rock's radar and there having a bit of rain so maybe between the uplink being attenuated and the downlink being attenuated here by cloud cover it's causing the conditions. I should get a 1.6 meter ku dish for G-10 maybe that thing would work better. Isn't G-10 up for replacement later this year?

I'm not watching, so I don't know if it's fluctuating or not? I did look and I'm getting a great picture on both 11720 and 11800. Since I don't keep records of SQ strength, I can't say either way. But my picture looks great, and I'm getting around 65% on 11720 and 75% on 11800 using the Fortec 1.2m dish and an Invacom QPH031 with my Pansat 3500s. It looks normal for me?

Yes, but G10R is being replaced due to fuel issues not power or amplifier issues.

I know that usually when satellites are replaced for any reason the new bird seems to have the edge with signal. Seen that happen since the 80's. They may be letting G10R drift a bit more right now to save fuel, and it may not be right in the center of the box as much as it should. Only time will tell... Any ETA on replacement??
