Hi, Sat guys!

I got D* equipment from Venezuela that has travel with me to different places on the Caribbean and it worked fine.
Now ,the company send me to Bakersfield CA for a one year task.
My question: would that equipment receive the signal that I got on Venezuela, Trinidad & Tobago, Aruba, etc?

If possible where do I have to point the dish?.

I (my wife) want to keep that equipment working in order to use the same card and see all her local programs.
Also, is it possible to use my D* card in other equipment in here?
if I visit a friend who has D* and put my card in his box, will work?

my boxes are model L11 and has it RID.
Also I have one round 26" Diameter plate and also one oval plate from here (US)

Thanks in advance,
Octaviosky

The card and the receiver are not in anyway transferable without DTV intervention. Keep what you have. Get new North Hemisphere stuff from DTV for your CA address. THEN see what you can do. More research will be needed to discover........what sat has your programming?...........what is its' "footprint?"..............then you can try to figure some coordinated to hit their signal.

Interesting question......please report back how it turns out.

Joe
