I have a semi-dumb question about some encryption/terminology. I have tried my best to figure most of the stuff but there is still a question I have on how to read the Lyngsat pages. For example:

Encryption. . .Some say DVB, Digicipher, Nagravision and some have A, N, F in a box. Am I to presume that Digicipher, Nagravision etc. is encrypted so that FTA receivers can not pick it up? Since I just bought a Fortec Classic receiver, is that a DVB compliant component and can pick up those feeds? I am just trying to maximize the number of feeds/channels that I will be available to pick, as I am sure most people want.

Thanks,
Lone

DVB is what the box will pick up.

If you look at Lyngsat, anything in an off yellow and has a 5 digit frequency on the left you should be able to pick up...it also says "F" for free)

Anything in a orange brownish is encrypted and you can't pick them up.
