Encore HD stunning picture quality

I'm watching Deja Vu on Encore HD, and I don't remember picture quality this sharp since I had my Voom dish 4 years ago. Even up close, standing right in front of my screen, the picture is sharp and artifact-free.

Encore HD was one of our favorite channels when it was on VOOM DBS...I hope it's added to the FiOS TV lineup soon.

We'll, I watched Apocaplyto today to compare to my previous recording of a Dish HD PPV from way back. Both looked similar, with tons of macroblocking in the opening few minutes when there was a lot of action. So pretty comparable to other Dish MPEG4 if you ask me.

EncoreHD looks just like all the other Dish HD channels--okay on a small 768p set--less than great on a large 1080p set.

Perhaps it's an Indiana thing because my Encore HD looks fantastic here, too. ..... now if only we would get our Indy locals in HD.
